Relationships in general are difficult, and few are taught healthy communication or conflict resolution skills before entering the workplace.  Then we add stressors from working with people we might not like or who have different work styles than our own, have deadlines to meet, and more. As a worker moves from job to job, they sometimes carry the woundedness of past workplaces with them, unbeknownst to the new employer. This is where I come in! I help others have healthy relationships and/or fix ones that have gotten off track, whether they be personal, professional or in their community. Call me when something's gotta change!

C-Suite Support

The needs of your C-Suite level can be very different from the rank-and-file of your organization. Many of them have dedicated themselves more to their careers and companies than finding balance in their life at home, work, self, etc., and may find themselves feeling very successful at work but not so much at home. The skill set used to succeed at work may be very different than the one needed at home as well. This is where I come in.

Consider a Relationship Retreat. Let's get away for a few days and go somewhere wonderful! Bring the significant others, and we can help your C-Suite feel more connected and loved at home through a series of activities and skills training. This will lead to the company running smoother, productivity increasing and overall workplace morale will improve dramatically.

Ongoing support for C-Suiters in the form of conflict resolution coaching, mediation, relationship education and on-call support is also available.

Mediation/Arbitration

Mediation and arbitration are ways for parties to discuss their differences and settle their disagreements.  It can be helpful in employment, client or vendor disputes as well as many other scenarios. 

Using a transformative model that allows both parties to feel seen, heard and understood, resolutions have higher long-term success ratios than resolutions reached with the more traditional facilitative models usually practiced.

I hold a certification in Dispute Resolution studies from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, and have been listed as a Qualified Neutral Under Rule 114  of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice in both civil and family categories​.  Yes, mediation can be done virtually as long as all parties agree. Please note:  Agreements made during mediation and arbitration may become legally binding if the parties place their agreement in writing.   When considering the binding effect of any agreement, seek legal counsel from a professional lawyer licensed in your area. 

Customer Retention
According to Harvard Business Review, acquiring a new customer can be anywhere from five to 25 times more expensive than retaining an existing one. 86% of customers are willing to pay more for better customer service, according to American Express. Relationship building and strong conflict resolution policies are key to keeping your overhead down and profits up! Training your employees on how to prevent conflict, move through it quickly if it occurs, and how to heal the relationship afterward will do wonders for your bottom line.

Human Resource Department Support

Human Resource professionals are under a significant amount of pressure. They are required to play the role of peacemaker yet are asked to communicate difficult news, stay on top of all the special needs/laws/trends and so much more. Given the increasing demands on their time and resources, it can be difficult to become an expert in everything. Having a little outside help from someone who specializes in a particular area increases their bandwidth and assures accurate information in a timely manner.

Remote Workforce Retention
Office culture is very hard to maintain when part of your staff does not work in the office daily! It can be hard to build employee loyalty, dedication to the company, let alone to the job. In fact, 12% of remote workers quit their jobs during their first 2 months. 62% of them cite poor job matches for quitting, while 58% were unhappy with training and performance challenges. Building strong practices that help remote workers feel valued, well trained, and recognized for their contributions are vital to your organization's long-term plan. It starts with assessing your current culture and instituting strong relationship building practices.

Spiritual Needs of a Diverse Workforce
More than ever, the lines between work and home are becoming blurred, and your employees are now bringing their spiritual beliefs to work.
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) statistics show the number of religion-based discrimination cases filed with the EEOC has more than doubled in the past 20 years, with a 15% increase in 2023 alone.  The cost to companies to defend against these types of cases, whether guilty or not, has skyrocketed. As an ordained interfaith minister who has also worked in employment law, I'm uniquely qualified to help you navigate these difficult situations. I can educate your management and HR staff about different religious traditions and help them navigate potential spiritual discrimination challenges.

In addition, there are more incidences of violence in the workplace happening. As much as we'd not like to think about it, these do occur. Having someone who is well-versed in many different traditions means you can support your workforce in a more efficient way.
